Lorin Williams, Psy.D. is a fellowship-trained lifespan neuropsychologist and New York State Licensed Psychologist specializing in neurodevelopmental, learning, and neurological conditions affecting children, adolescents, and young adults. She earned her doctoral degree from William James College in Boston, completed her APA-approved internship through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, and completed a two-year clinical neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Williams is also an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Human Development at SUNY Empire State University. She provides consultations, targeted evaluations, and comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other learning disabilities, executive functioning difficulties, and complex neurodevelopmental profiles, with recommendations designed to support effective interventions across home, school, and community settings.
Hillary Forbes, LCSW-R is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy, consultation, and clinical supervision in both private and community settings. She earned her graduate degree from Simmons College in Boston and completed postgraduate training in relational, depth-oriented psychotherapy at Columbia University in New York City. Hillary specializes in psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapy and supports individuals navigating grief, trauma, identity shifts, caregiving roles, and major life transitions. Her clinical focus includes emerging adults, trauma survivors, and individuals coping with chronic or life-limiting medical conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, and advanced-stage cancers. Her approach integrates relational and trauma-informed principles to help clients explore emotional patterns, strengthen resilience, and develop greater clarity and meaning during periods of change.
Debbie Hamell- Palmer, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has provided trauma-informed care through local organizations such as ICAN, The House of the Good Shepherd, BOCES, and Upstate Cerebral Palsy (UCP), and specializes in maternal-child health, trauma recovery, anxiety, affect regulation, school adjustment, and cross-cultural concerns. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. Debbie became a certified doula in 2024 and supports clients through emotional, developmental, and life transitions—including caregiving, chronic illness, identity formation, and cultural adjustment. She is active in efforts to increase health equity in the Mohawk Valley and was honored by United Way as one of the region’s 100 Heroes.
Adelaide McDermott, BA is the psychometrist at Upstate Neuropsychological & Behavioral Health Services, where she administers and scores cognitive, psychological, and educational assessments. She holds an Associate’s degree from Mohawk Valley Community College, a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and is in the process of obtaining her Master of Science (MS) and a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) from SUNY Oswego’s School Psychology program. Adelaide was trained under the supervision of Dr. Lorin Williams, gaining hands-on experience in evidence-based assessment practices. With a detail-oriented and compassionate approach, she supports accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning to help individuals better understand their cognitive and behavioral functioning.
